Cohorts

The upcoming 2026 cohorts of the Equitable Development Initiative will help new developers learn how to build small housing projects, usually between 1 to 4 units. These cohort dates are to be determined.

Participants will need to raise at least 5% of the money needed for their projects, with support from resources like the County Revolving Loan Fund and impact investments. The focus will be on developing City-owned or Land Bank properties, using pre-approved building plans.

Those who complete the program will enjoy lower loan rates, access to mentors, and help in securing additional funding. Attendance is required, with only one allowed absence. There will be no class the week of Thanksgiving.
